Broadcast Messaging, Auto-Messaging and Member-to-Member Messaging
eLibrary can be configured to automatically send messages to members when their books become overdue or when their dues payable exceeds a certain limit.
A 'Request Resource' message can be sent to the borrower as explained before, if a book's status is "out-of-library".
Standard messages like holiday intimation, New Year Wishes, etc. can be sent by the librarian to a select group or all members.
Any messages waiting in his mailbox will be popped open automatically when the member logs in.
Member to member messaging is available with file attachment facility
Self Resource Reservation
eLibrary is designed and created in such a way that the physical library can function without any working staff. The moment a resource and a member ID is scanned, eLibrary checks for about 20 different issue criteria including member eligibility, if the resource is reserved or locked, etc. At the time of returns, eLibrary again checks for about 25 different parameters before accepting a return, then automatically creates a printable bill if any fines or hiring charges are applicable. It also shows old dues and allows collection of money, in full or part, by cash, credit card or cheque/DD.The system also checks for work timings and holidays and appropriately allows or disallows issues/returns. With eLibrary, there is no scope for human interference or human error, with the issue rules set by the librarian.
Self Resource Reservation
With the cost of books and periodicals sky-rocketing by the day, it makes sense to hire out certain expensive books. eLibrary will handle this by billing the member automatically at the time of return.Renewals can be done by members
Members can renew their resource, if eligible and if resource is not reserved already, from any network computer by simply logging in during the renewal buffer time slot (eg.2 days before due date) and sending a renewal request.Money Matters!
- Safe, secure and easy money transactions:eLibrary will allow you to raise debit notes or credit notes simultaneously for several members (through a selection criteria) towards deposit collection or miscellaneous fees, fines, etc. Money can be received in the form of cash, credit card or other bank instruments. Fines and hiring charges are automatically charged according to the member profile and cannot be altered by staff.
