The Customer
Manufacturer, distributor and retailer of memorial stones for the US market. They own the nation’s largest memorial stones display warehouse. This customer supplied the memorial stone for the Late International Pop Icon Michael Jackson in 2009.
The Challenge
They have their own manufacturing units in USA and India. They source materials from USA, Canada, India and China. They have a dedicated memorial design centre in India which needs to co-ordinate with the US sales office and the various manufacturing units and Vendor locations – to ensure accurate manufacturing and on-time shipment.
Each memorial stone has several parameters to be tracked – laser etching, lettering, colour matching, design carving, etc. The customer has an elaborate system of Quality checks to ensure that the finished stone meets 100% of the customer’s design specs.
